The service initially will be operated for three times a week using a new Airbus A350-900ULR. Later the airline will expand its services to daily service from 18th October 2018 after receiving an additional A350-900ULR to its fleet.
Singapore Airlines is the first airline in the world for the new A350-900ULR, with seven on firm order with Airbus. The aircraft is two-class configured and features 67 business class seats and 94 premium economy class seats. The latest service will offer customers the fastest and safest way to travel between the two cities while ensuring great comfort and convenience for every traveler.
The A350-900ULR (ultra-long-range) features higher ceilings, huge windows, and extra lighting designed to reduce jetlag. The airline also plans for nonstop Singapore-Los Angeles flights, details of which will be declared later. Currently, Singapore Airlines is operating flights to New York JFK, daily visa Frankfurt. Singapore Airlines is currently operating a fleet of 21 A350-900s and 46 more on the order.
